Dino's Holiday Fits

Dino's Holiday Fits

My childhood friend Ciara bought the Sinclair gas station s few years ago. Across Wyoming and Utah you might find the Sinclair Dinos dressed up for holidays or just wearing outfits. She asked me if I could start making outfits for the dino for holidays. I was obsessed with that idea. I started Halloween 2023 with Dino Ghost and it has been such a fun project ever since. The design challenges are fun because the dino is painted like a car so you can't tape anything onto it. It is also on the highway so everything needs to be very secure to not fly off in the Wyoming elements. Fabric works very well for this project, the dino was just meant for outfits. I try to use majority upcycled materials. I have discovered the ribbons work very well on dino because you need to tie alot down. The way dino is placed the headwear you see the most, and I have gotten very into the hats. After making so many outfits I have the shape pretty dialed in my brain and proportions. Dino and I are besties at this point. When I went to go pick up my puppy Clover in Moab, I was very nervous about getting a dog but every turn I saw a dino and I knew that was a good sign. So dino has yet to lead me astray. Kids of Jackson also loovveee dinos outfits and they give me endless inspiration of what the next outfit should be. I love bringing a little magic to the drive to school. I hope seeing dino in unexpected looks reminds everyone to play with how they dress, anyone can be anything they want. Here are all of Dinos looks so far.
